Obituary for John H. Meholik
SEYMOUR – John H. Meholik, age 40 of Seymour, entered peaceful rest after a brief illness
on Saturday, July 6, 2019 in Seymour. Born in Derby on August 11, 1978, he was a son of
Stanley and Gloria (Sawczuk) Meholik, Jr. of Seymour. John graduated Nonnewaug High School, Class of 1997, majoring in mechanics and conservation/forestry. He also was a graduate of W.F. Kaynor R.V.T. School in 1998. A jack of all trades, John was a welder, landscaper and tree harvester, who will be remembered for his love of the outdoors. John was employed by Sikorsky Aircraft for many years. In addition to his parents, survivors include his brother, Michael M. Meholik, Sr. and his wife Pam; aunts and uncle, Harriet Sawczuk, and Karen Larrivee and her husband Lucien; sister-in-laws, Lynne Meholik and Heidi Meholik; nephews, Christopher, Michael Jr., and Kyle.; cousins, Ann Marie Sawczuk, Leslee Kolenda and her husband Adam, Matthew Larrivee; and great cousins, Allison and Bennett Kolenda. John was predeceased by his grandparents, Harry and Ann (Huzi) Sawczuk, and Stanley and Ann (Russell) Meholik, Sr.; brother, Stanley “Stosh” Meholik, III; and nephew, Keith Meholik. Family and friends may visit the family on Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 9 am to 10 am in the Ralph Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour, CT 06483 with a prayer service starting at 10:15 am. Interment will follow in Mt. Meadows Cemetery, Seymour.
