,Josephat W. Thibeault, Sr., age 71 of Seymour entered peaceful rest on Feb. 5, 2019 at his home; he was the beloved husband of Helen Jeanie (Piwowarski) Thibeault. He was born Dec. 29, 1947 in Ft. Kent, ME. He was fondly known by many as "Farmer Joe" or "Mr. Joe", and could be typically seen on his John Deere tractor on the roads near his home. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and was a member of the Emil Senger Post10 American Legion. Josephat was a communicant of ST. Nicholas Parish, The Church of the Good Shepherd, and was a former member of the Men's Club there. He was also a former Volunteer Fire Policeman with the Great Hill Hose Co. He loved farming, and being on the job with his son landscaping. Farmer Joe also enjoyed cooking and firearms.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his loving son, Josephat W. Thibeault, Jr., his brothers, Emil, Guilford, and Clarence, and sister Evelyn.

Calling Hours are Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. Interment is private.
