Krystyna Maria Day, age 70 of Seymour, she entered into peaceful rest on June 28, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital; she was the beloved wife of 40 years to Douglas Day. Mrs. Day was born May 18, 1951 in Poland, daughter of the late Antonio and Helena (Bujko) Brejwo. Krystyna was a communicant of Christ Episcopal Church, Ansonia; she enjoyed travel, especially going on cruises and spending time on the beach. She also enjoyed going to restaurants and having a nice meal, as well as making trips to the casinos. Krystyna will be fondly remembered for the love she had for her grandchildren and spending her time with them.
In addition to her husband, Krystyna leaves her loving family including her son, James Day and his wife Michelle of Seymour; her daughter, Jennifer Lysik and her husband Thomas of Seymour; her brothers, Casey Brejwo and his wife JoAnn of Derby, and Ray Brejwo and his wife Marysia of Ansonia; her grandchildren, Olivia and Aiden Day, and also several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Krystyna’s life will be held Thursday at 12:00 PM at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Calling Hours will be at the funeral home also on Thursday prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour.
