Condolence: Lynn, Maureen and Tim, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. He was a kind and caring man who touched many lives through his years of teaching. I will always remember him as a soft spoken man who people listened to. You should all feel good about the loving care you gave him recently. He raised wonderful children for sure.

Condolence: Oh, Mr. Albaitis!! You were everyones favorite history teacher at Seymour Middle School. You taught with such passion, and humor. Your knowledge was amazing! Something was amiss when you weren't around to cajole us in the hall. I loved your response to people who were clearly not paying attention, but who attempted to participate..."Aw, you're whacked out at the pickle factory..." and we would laugh, but it never happened twice! Thank you for being such a presence in the classroom. Thank you for your service to our Country. I can't forget your love of coffee and Certs...May these pages be filled with other memories of what you meant, not only to your family but to us, your students. Rest in Peace. Condolence: I've always considered Mr. Albaitis as my favorite teacher through "ALL" of school. I had him for history in the 1972-73 school year in 8th grade at the junior high school. Hard to believe that as a 14 year-old with an attention span of 3 minutes I would end up in the classroom of a teacher that would leave an impact on my life such as he did!!! I remember when we got to the world war two period of the school year. He was one of the most captivating speakers I had ever heard!! He had a "passion" like no one I'd ever met in trying to instill in us youg kids the importance of the sacrifices that americans made to see ourselves through a hard time in our history as well as the horrors of how terrible war really was! I recall the day when he was in one of his heated discussions and two kids were in the back of the room talking to each other and he "WHIPPED" the piece of chalk he was holding right at them and took both of them out for not listening!!! ( do that nowadays and see what would happen! ) I remember at lunch in the cafeteria how we would all try to compare who had the ugliest socks on!!! He'd put his foot up on a chair and he'd say "GO" and we all pulled up our pant leg to see who had on the ugliest argyle or funny socks and then laugh our asses off! Life is short and I wish I could have talked with him again in these latter years in life. But, unfortunately, life is madness and seems to travel at a break neck speed. I'll never forget him!!! He was the last of a breed of teachers who actually made a differenc in his student's lives!!! Godspeed Mr. A!!! See you when I get there!!!

Condolence: I was so sorry to see that Mr. Albaitis passed on. I had him as a teacher in Bungay School, I think in the 5th grade. I loved him. He was very dedicated, devoted to his students and very kind. My Son Greg had him when he entered middle school in the 80's. He too adored him. Mr. A, rest in peace.

Condolence: I had Mr. Albaitis as a teacher at Seymour Middle school back in 1983...he was a great teacher.....I had continued to see him at the high school football games, and I actually ran into him at St. Augustine's Church. I was teaching my religion class and he came back to find his hat that he had
left in church. I am sorry for your loss - he was a very good person.
