Obituary for Linda Ann Mercier (Pratt)

EASTON, Md. — Linda Ann Pratt Buckingham Mercier died at her home in Easton, Md., on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008. She was 66. Born April 12, 1942, in Waterbury, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Gilbert Pratt Sundwall. Before moving to Easton in 2006, she was a resident of Oxford for many years. Mrs. Mercier is survived by her husband, John Mercier, whom she married July 2, 1970; three children, Durand A. Buckingham of Unionville, Wayne E. Buckingham of Lawtey, Fla., and Tammi Lynn Burk of Easton; two sisters, Sharon Nagel of Warrington, Va., and Loreen Lausier of Watertown; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Brent Buckingham, and a brother, Ronald Pratt. A memorial service will be celebrated at the Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Southford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in the name of Linda Mercier may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation at www.myeloma.org.
