Obituary for Marie J. Bitso (Tuozzola)
ANSONIA, CT: Marie J. Bitso, age 83 of Ansonia, she entered into peaceful rest on April 5, 2020 at Bishop Wicke Health Care, Shelton; she was the beloved wife of the late Gustave Bitso. Mrs. Bitso was born October 19, 1936 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Daniel and Grace Tuozzola.
She loved being a stay at home mom when her children were young; in addition to that, Marie enjoyed baking and making homemade candies. In her younger years, Marie taught ceramics, and she had a ceramics studio. She will be fondly remembered for the love she had for her grandchildren, and how she would do anything for them. Marie also appreciated fresh flowers.
Marie leaves behind her loving family including her sons, David Bitso and his wife Barbara of Seymour, and Robert Bitso and his wife Jacqueline of Tolland, MA; her daughter, Barbara Brookins and her husband Frank of Ansonia; and her beloved grandchildren, David, Jr. and Steven Bitso, Amber and Robert, Jr. Bitso, Maria, Frank, Jr., Joshua, and Jesse Brookins,
Family and friends may call on Saturday July 18th from 9 to 11:00 am with a Memorial Service and Celebration of Marie’s life beginning at 11:00 am at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be private.
