Life Story for Marie V. "Josie" Corbin

Marie V. "Josie"  Corbin
SEYMOUR, CT: Marie "Josie" V. Corbin, age 83 of Seymour entered peaceful rest on April 16, 2015 at her home with her devoted family by her side; she was the beloved wife of 56 years to Gene Corbin. Mrs. Corbin was born November 18, 1931 in Cazenovia, NY, daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Damon) Vaas. Marie was retired after 30 years as a Banquet Waitress from the former Rapps Paradise Inn. She was a member of the Great Hill United Methodist Church; she was also a Charter Member of the Great Hill Hose Company, Ladies Auxiliary. Marie loved feeding and watching birds; she also enjoyed flower gardening and cooking; she will be remembered for "baking the best rolls."

In addition to her husband Marie leaves her loving family including, her son, Gregory Corbin of Seymour, her daughter, Gina Ovesny (Alan) of Shelton, her brothers, Ted and Ken Vaas, and grandchildren, A.J. Ovesny, Joshua and Jacob Corbin.

Calling Hours are Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the Funeral Service in celebration of her life immediately following at 1:00 p.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. Interment will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery.
