NAUGATUCK, CT: Mark W. Cornut age 54 of Naugatuck entered into peaceful rest September 12, 2010. He was born June 1, 1956 in Newtown, son of the late William and Phyllis (Buckley) Cornut. Mark was retired from the US Navy where he served for 11 years; he last served aboard the USS Reid and formerly on the USS Ranger. Mr. Cornut was awarded Sailor of the Year for the West Coast and also for the State of California. Mark had a passion for motorcycles and music especially Bruce Springsteen.

He leaves three daughters, Shabon Cornut of Seymour, Cassandra Cornut of Naugatuck, and Alexis Shiann Cornut of Seymour, and a sister, Lynn Krueger in GA. He was married to Cynthia Cornut of Seymour

A Memorial Service in celebration of Mark’s life will be held by Shabon on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 161 West Church Street, Seymour.
