Obituary for Mary Dumschott (Vinsavage)

SEYMOUR – Mary (Vinsavage) Dumschott, age 88 of Seymour, beloved wife of the late William C. Dumschott, entered peaceful rest on Saturday, November 20, 2021, in her home surrounded by family. Born in Southbury on August 5, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (Pikutis) Vinsavage.

A true artist, Mary worked as a florist for many years and loved gardening and painting, as well as fishing and cooking. But above all else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her loving children, Alan R. Dumschott, Sr. of Seymour, Christine Dumschott and her wife Deborah Ketai, and Lori McGovern and her husband Kenneth, Jr.; three adored grandchildren, Kenneth J. McGovern, Annalisha Monaco-Schroeder and her husband Scott Jr., and Alan Dumschott Jr., as well as three cherished greatgrandchildren, Blake Dumschott, Santino Schroeder and Giavana Schroeder. Mary was predeceased by her sisters, Eva T. Mis and Lillian E. Manzone.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 4pm to 7pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. A Funeral Service celebrating her life will take place on Saturday November 27, 2021 at 10am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary’s name can be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001. Checks should be made payable to “Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.”
