Life Story for Mary L. Perez (Ashe)

Mary L.  Perez (Ashe)
Mrs. Mary L. Perez, age 76, of Seymour, beloved wife of the late James J. Perez, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2010 in CT Hospice, Branford.

She was born on November 24, 1933 in Ansonia to the late Carl and Mary (Rogalis) Ashe. Mrs. Perez was a cook at Chatfield School in Seymour and previously worked at Peter Paul in Naugatuck before her retirement. She was a communicant and member of the Ladies Guild at St. Anthony’s Church, Ansonia. She enjoyed baking and knitting.

Mrs. Perez is survived by her two devoted sons, Joseph Perez and his wife, Carol of Seymour and John Perez and his wife Nancy of Johnson, Vermont and three grandchildren, Jay Perez of Maine, Megan Perez and Daniel Perez both of Seymour, two great grandchildren, Madison and Jake. She is also survived by three brothers, Bill Ashe of Harvard, MA, James Ashe of Wolcott, VT and David Ashe of Ansonia and several nieces and nephews. Her son, Daniel C. Perez, two brothers, Ronald and Donald Ashe and her sister, Jackie Ashe predeceased her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 6 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, 199 North Main Street, Ansonia. Interment to follow in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery, Derby. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405 or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 2572 Whitney Avenue, 1-R, Hamden, CT 06518. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 161 West Church Street, Seymour.
