Obituary for Mary Potosky

SEYMOUR — Mary Louise Potosky, 89, of Seymour, wife of the late Joseph Potosky, died quietly at her home on August 21, 2021. Born on August 8, 1932, in Derby, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Phyllis (Hamilton) Varian. She is survived by her daughters, Lindsay Michaels in North Carolina and Cheryl Ritter of Seymour; her granddaughters, Laura Lucarelli of Higganum, Carrie Batista of Torrington and Kate Walters in Wyoming; two great-grandsons, and many nieces whom she loved so much. She was predeceased by her sister, Janice Brennan. Mary was retired from the Finance Department of the town of Seymour and was a devoted member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Seymour. She was also a very proud member of the Olive Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She held a love for all animals, and had great interests in the Civil War, Scottish and Irish music, and figure skating. All services are private. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour, is in charge of arrangements.
