Obituary for Michael T. Maiette
NAUGATUCK: Michael T. Maiette, age 25 of Naugatuck, beloved son of Nancy (Kuzia) Lallier and her husband Carl of Naugatuck, and the late Brooks “Chuck” Maiette, Jr., entered peaceful rest on Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Waterbury Hospital.
Born in Waterbury on July 3, 1997, Michael was a 2015 graduate of the Electrical Program at Emmett O'Brien Technical High School. He played football and track for Emmett, and also played football, basketball, and baseball on local recreational teams throughout the years. He later graduated from Porter & Chester Institute with a degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design. After graduation, Michael gained employment at Barry Unger & Associates as a Draftsman, and has been working there for several years. He was a VW enthusiast and member of the Northeast VW Club, taking great pride in showing his GTI. An avid gamer and music lover, Michael also enjoyed fishing and anime, and will be remembered for his phenomenal sense of humor. He also gained many meaningful friendships throughout the years.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his siblings, Briley Peters, Kristy Diaz and her husband Mark, Brooks J. Maiette III, and Daniel Maiette; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Nancy Kuzia, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews. In addition to his father, Michael was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Brooks J. Maiette Sr. and Josephine Maiette.
A Memorial Service celebrating Michael’s life will take place on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 7pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. Relatives and friends may visit the family from 4pm until the time of service. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
