I was so lucky to meet Mr. Horbick this past August at Giordano's. Mr. Horbick shared many great stories of WWII and the hero dogs that served. He took my address and sent me many articles about the Phanton Army and also the dogs that serviced. My husband and I visited the site he created at VFW in Bethany. I sent him a note thanking him for everything. My own dad served in WWII in the Pacific Theatre. I passed all of his articles to a cousin in New Hampshire and they are getting read and enjoyed by many. I feel honored to have known Mr. Horbick if only for a short period of time.
