Condolence: The news of Norlyns passing has been such a shock. We we're friends as kids, and recently caught up on facebook. I am so sorry for the loss you are all suffering. My mom (Joan Semanco) who considers Norlyn Sr. a friend(and is completly technologly challenged)is anxious to let Norlyn know how sorry she is and would love to speak to her. Having lost a daughter herself...she hopes she may be some comfort. So, if it's a week, a month or a year from now...Norlyn please know that Joan is thinking of you, and wants to be there. Her # is 203-463-8755. Peace to all of you. God Bless, Fondly, The Semanco Family

Condolence: It was a shock to hear of Norlyn's passing. She was such a dynamic person. I did not know her well, but I knew Alex and Zach-now grown up! This is a tremendous loss to you both, as well as to the rest of the family and the community. They same time heals all, but it seems to stand still after such a tragic loss. It will get better, but the grieving process is lonely and never easy...take good care

Condolence From: Nicole Knott
Condolence: I was heartbroken to hear about Norlyn's passing. Though I knew her only through the fitness classes we took together at the Valley YMCA, feel like I knew her quite well because she was so open and approachable. Before class we would wait out in the hall and she would talk about her two sons and what they were up to. During class we would have fun, never really taking ourselves too seriously. Norlyn will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Condolence From: Bob Rutkowski
Condolence: To Family and Friends: Last year I "friended" Norlyn on FB and she accepted right away. We actually made fun of one another's legs last week. I was her track coach at Nonnewaug and she was an integral part of "that championship season" team in '86 that went undefeated. She was sassy and arrogant but a tough competitor who always came through for the team. On a team of talented but goofy and quirky personalities she ranked right up there - she used to compete with her Michael Jackson one white glove on. I will have the fondest memories of Norlyn, one of my all-time favorites. Citius, Altius, Fortius Norlyn! Love, COACH RUT
