Obituary for Norma Kriz (Joyce)
BETHANY: Norma C. (Joyce) Kriz, age 88, a longtime resident of Bethany and loving wife of the late John Kriz, entered peaceful rest on December 27, 2022 in her home surrounded by family. Born in New Haven on July 14, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Mabel (Campbell)Joyce.
As the matriarch of the Kriz Family Farm in Bethany, Norma was constant presence overseeing the wellbeing of her farm and animals. She enjoyed sitting on her couch with her binoculars, watching the daily activities, and especially loved entertaining guests in her home. Mrs. Kriz led a great life growing up which included traveling the world and being a serious rodeo competitor. She will be fondly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her beloved sons, Timothy Kriz and his wife Wendy of Bethany, and Glen Kriz of MA; grandsons, Cody Kriz and his wife Jackie, Jessie Kriz and Douglas Kriz, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Edith Matson and Audrey Smullen.
Funeral Services celebrating her life will take place on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 in the First Church of Christ, Bethany, 511 Amity Rd. Bethany, CT 06524 DIRECTLY at 11am. Interment will follow in Bethany Congregational Cemetery, Bethany. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, CT 06483 has been entrusted with her arrangements.
