Phyllis A. Lettieri age 84 of Seymour entered peaceful rest on February 3, 2022 at Shady Knoll Health Care in Seymour. Phyllis was born October 5, 1937 in Derby, daughter of the late Philip and Alice (Kerbur) Valenti.

Phyllis was always known as a hard worker and will be fondly remembered for many years she worked as a waitress and cook at the former New State Diner. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren whom were the apple of her eye. She loved to cook, take care of her family and others in need; “her door was always open.” Phyllis loved Lilacs, scented candles, was an avid fan of the UCONN Women’s Basketball Team, and also the Dallas Cowboys Football Team. She enjoyed listening to Country Music and especially Elvis Presley. She would also be described as “a tough cookie and a strong woman”, however, on her softer side, “she had beautiful Big Blue Eyes”.

Phyllis leaves behind her loving family, including her son Thomas Downey of Seymour, her twin daughters, Angie Berthold of Beacon Falls, and Camie Lettieri of Seymour; her grandchildren, Joshua Downey, Aleesha Lettieri, and Haylee Berthold.
