Life Story for Robert M. Ahern

SEYMOUR, CT: Robert M. Ahern, 69 of Seymour entered peaceful rest September 17, 2013 at his home; he was the beloved husband of 48 years to Geraldine "Geri" (King) Ahern. Mr. Ahern was born June 12, 1944 in Bridgeport, son of the late Walter J. and Lena (Miller) Ahern. Robert was a Seymour resident for most of his life; he was a retired Machinist from the Ansonia Copper and Brass Co. Robert was a former Boy Scout Leader, and he enjoyed the outdoors, and woodworking in his basement. In addition to his wife, Mr. Ahern leaves his loving family including a son, Robert Scott Ahern (Tara) of Naugatuck, daughters, Kelly Darrah (Mike) of Naugatuck, and Heather Willets (Paul) of Waterbury, a brother, Peter J. Ahern (Diane) of Seymour; his grandchildren, Nelson, Jr., Daniel, Jesse, Joshua, Megan, Jenny, and Aaliyah, and a great grandchild, Jordan.

Calling Hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. Funeral Services in celebration of Robert's life are Friday in the funeral home at 11a.m. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery.
