Obituary for Robert E. Collon
SEYMOUR – Robert E. Collon, age 90 of Seymour, beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Valley) Collon, entered peaceful rest on Monday, January 15, 2024 in Shady Knoll Healthcare, Seymour. Born in Islip, NY, on December 15, 1933, he was the son of the late Maxine and Jeanne (Frillon) Collon.
A proud US Army veteran, Robert was a longtime resident of Seymour and retired from Kerite where he worked for many years. He was a devoted husband and father, and was well liked by all who met him. Robert loved to tinker around his house. He was an avid NY Giants fan, and those who knew him will remember his easy going persona.
Robert is survived by his loving daughters, Lisa Collon of Seymour, and Michelle Coster and her husband Michael of Milford, as well as his niece, Helen Maluk of Naugatuck.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 11am in the Church of the Good Shepherd (St. Nicholas Parish), 135 Mountain Rd. Seymour, CT 06483. Relatives and friends can greet the family from 9am to 10:30am in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
