OXFORD - Robert “Bob” Lee Neerman passed away on Friday December 23rd at his home in Oxford, CT, surrounded by his family, after a fierce and valiant battle with AML. He was 77. Robert grew up in Hamden, CT. He was preceded by his mother Kay and sister Patti. A Nutmegger to his core, he lived and served his community from a young age, serving as an altar boy and boy scout. He later transferred to the Bethany Barracks as the resident state trooper, where he was proud to lead the DARE program for kids. There he made lifelong friends that later became his coffee group, you could find them at Dunkin Donuts daily reminiscing. After semi- retirement he continued to serve his community by his employment at CT Regional Water Authority and the Federal Marshal’s office in New Haven before truly retiring. A true outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, boating and shopping for all things related. He had a true love for all things right and just, as apparent by his life’s service.
