Life Story for Ronald Paul "Ron" Pope

Ronald Paul "Ron"  Pope
Mr. Ronald Paul Pope, age 59, beloved husband of Kandy Newkirk of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in CT Hospice, Branford.
He was born on April 24, 1950 in Altoona, PA to the late Paul E. and Darlene (McKee) Pope. Ron was a mechanical engineer at ASML in Wilton. He was a member of the Seymour Rod & Gun Club and the Algonquin Archery Club in Woodbury. Ron enjoyed archery, boating, fishing and hunting in his leisure time. In addition to his devoted wife, he leaves two daughters, Rondi (Pope) Payne of Danvers, MA and Sherry Pope of Shelton, two step daughters, Tracy Beckwith of Bethany and Robyn Carter of Prospect, two brothers, Thomas E. Pope, Sr. of Derby and Chris E. Pope of Marathon Keys, FL. He also leaves six grandchildren, Tori and Emily Payne, Olivia Carter, Nicholas, Daniel and Michael Beckwith and a niece, Kristie Pope and two nephews, Thomas Pope, II and Eric Pope. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be held in private. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be in Ron’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
