Obituary for Ruth Manweiler (Dudley)

WOODBRIDGE, CT: Ruth (Dudley) (Dahlin) Manweiler, age 100 of Woodbridge entered into peaceful rest October 29, 2008 at Shady Knoll Health Center, Seymour; she was the beloved wife of the late Harold Manweiler and Roland Dahlin, Sr. Mrs. Manweiler was born December 14, 1907 in Ansonia daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte (Cox) Dudley. Ruth was a communicant of the First Church of Christ, Congregational, Woodbridge; she was Past President of the Woodbridge Homemakers Club, was a member of Woodbridge Grange # 108, also the New Haven Pamona Grange, and the Connecticut and National Granges. Ruth was a National Member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Ruth leaves her loving family including her son, Rolly Dahlin, Jr. and his wife Jeanne M. of Branford, three daughters, Shonnie DelloRusso and her husband Al of Orange, Edee Lockyer and her husband Harvey of Woodbridge, and Carol McGrath and her husband Ned of East Aurora, NY, nine grandchildren, Douglas Lockyer, Dean Smith, Donald Lockyer, Erik Maeder, Raymond Dahlin, Linda Dahlin Marvin, Rebecca Maeder Doll and Richard Dahlin; 15 great grandchildren, and 5 great, great grandchildren, and her cousin Evelyn Radovich of Seymour.
A Memorial Service in celebration of Ruth’s life will be held Saturday November 8th at 11 a.m. in the First Church of Christ Congregational, 15 Meetinghouse Lane, Woodbridge. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour has care of the arrangements.
