Serafina “Sally” Kearney, age 89 of Derby, formerly of Seymour, she entered into peaceful rest on April 14, 2020 at her home; she was the beloved wife of the late John J. Kearney, Sr. Mrs. Kearney was born April 2, 2931 in Derby, daughter of the late John and Whilamina (DeTulio) Violano. She retired from the Production Department of Life Touch Studios of Derby. Sally was an avid bowler.

Survivors include her sons, John J. Kearney, Jr. of Beacon Falls, Michael Kearney (Barbara) of Seymour, Daniel Kearney of Beacon Falls, and Jeffrey Kearney of Seymour; her brothers, William Violano (Helen) of Oxford, Dominic Violano (Pat) in FLA, and Robert Violano (Joyce) of Beacon Falls; her sisters, Margaret Perley of Huntington, and Ruth Ann Pisani of Beacon Falls; also a grandson, Jason Kearney (Jodie) of Las Vegas, NV.
