Obituary for Shirley M. Anderson (Burt)
BEACON FALLS: Shirley Mae (Burt) Anderson, age 88, beloved wife of the late Glenwood L. Anderson, entered peaceful rest on Sunday, December 13, 2020 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Shirley was born in Derby on May 20, 1932.
Shirley was a lifelong resident of Seymour before moving to Beacon Falls. A retired clerk for Macy’s Dept. Stores, she had a fondness for cats and raised Siamese cats for many years. Shirley will be remembered as an avid UCONN Women’s Basketball fan who loved sewing and crafts, as well as reading.
Survivors include her loving son, Glenwood Anderson and his wife Marlene of Oxford; adored grandchildren, Michael Anderson Jr. and Kimberly Makowski, as well as her two cherished great grandsons, Mason and Kannon and her feline companion, Shadow. Shirley was predeceased by her son, Michael Anderson, Sr. and her grandson, Brett Anderson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour, CT 06483 and services will be private at the convenience of the family.
