Obituary for Shirley Gaetano (Johnson)
SEYMOUR, CT: Shirley M. (Johnson) Gaetano, age 92 of Seymour, previously of Oxford, was reunited with her beloved husband, the late Joseph Gaetano, on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Born in Derby on October 11, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ezra and Bertha (Wooster) Johnson.
A retired nurse assistant, Shirley was known for her kindness and helpfulness. She was very artistic and loved coloring and painting, as well as cooking. Above all else though, family was most important to her and she enjoyed times spent together.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Linda Verme and her husband Frank of North Haven; daughter-in-law, Donna Gaetano; 4 cherished grandchildren, Paul, Joseph, Christopher, and Jonathon, as well as 9 adored great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Joseph, she was predeceased by her loving son, Carmen Gaetano.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, CT 06483 and services will be private at the convenience of the family.
