SEYMOUR, CT: Stanley J. Niegelsky, age 81 of Seymour entered into peaceful rest October 25, 2008 at Bridgeport Hospital; he was the beloved husband of Lillian (Negri) Niegelsky. He was born March 3, 1927 in Tarrytown, NY, son of the late Stanley and Henrietta (Ambrose) Niegelsky. In 1944 Stanley graduated from Ansonia High School and attended the Utilities Engineering Institute of Chicago. He was a WW II US Army Veteran. Following a career as General Foreman and Production Manager, Stanley retired from BF Goodrich, Sponge Products, Shelton and also from Specialty Packaging, Bridgeport, and Waterbury. Mr. Niegelsky enjoyed reading and gardening, and will be fondly remembered as a man of quiet dignity with a wonderful sense of humor.
In addition to his beloved wife Stanley leaves his loving daughter, Karen Spargo and her husband Owen of Oxford and his cherished granddaughter, Tai Spargo of Washington, DC., a brother, Leon Niegelsky, and a sister, Natalie Ammondson both in North Carolina, and several nieces and nephews. His daughter Renee predeceased him.
Stanley’s Life Celebration will be held Wednesday at 6 pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. His family requests your attendance and open sharing of your memories of Stanley at that time. Family and friends are also invited to call from 4 to 6 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home just prior to the celebration. Interment will be at the convenience of his family.
