Obituary for Susanne Penn (Solak)
SEYMOUR: Susanne M. (Solak) Penn, age 80 of Seymour, beloved wife of Wayne Penn, entered peaceful rest on Monday, October 17, 2022 in her home surrounded by family. Born in Bridgeport on November 15, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Susan (Komlos) Solak.
Susanne was very active person who enjoyed gardening and all things crafting, such as knitting and crocheting. An avid cook, she was known for her delicious pies, especially her strawberry rhubarb pie. But above all else, Susanne loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her beloved husband of 58 years, survivors include her loving children, Matthew Penn and his wife Deborah of AZ, and Dawn Roy and her husband Lawrence of TX; 4 adored grandchildren, Kate, Joseph, Christopher and Colleen, as well as her cherished great granddaughter, Asher. In addition to her parents, Susanne was predeceased by her brother, John Solak.
Relatives and friends can greet the family on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 4 pm to 7 pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 10 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mt. Meadows Cemetery, Seymour.
