OXFORD: Mr. Theodore Korin, age 88, of Oxford, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at the VA Medical Center in West Haven. Mr. Korin was born on March 17, 1921 in Oxford to the late Basil and Mary Derewianyk Korin. He was a lifelong resident of Oxford. Mr. Korin was proud to be a U.S. Army veteran. He was a mink rancher for his entire career. Mr. Korin is survived by his devoted three daughters, Gale Kilgore and her husband Mike of Arbuckle, CA, June Dytko and her husband Jim of Oxford and Deborah Porell and her husband Bob of DeLand, FL, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He also leaves his brother, Michael Korin and two sisters, Martha Ward and Julia Barney. Family and friends may call on Monday, July 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a service to follow at 7 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be held in private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ted’s memory to the VA Medical Center, 950 Campbell Avenue, West Haven, CT 06516.
