Condolence From: Lori Johnstone
Condolence: The first day I met Ted, was a week after we moved to Moose Hill. He knew so much about nature and our town. I could not wait to hear more of his stories about when the turtles would lay their eggs or what day of the year the geese would be able to fly after molting. I loved to hear his stories about when the his girls were little, his face would just light up. He loved you so much. He would tell us about the mink and the ponies and his race dogs, especially Cheetah. The fiddlehead fern, the hybiscus and the thimbleberries.
I loved how wonderful he was with my girls too. He loved to be around them. He brought them berries and stories and one Lincoln's birthday he even donned his giant paper mache Lincoln's hat and walked up for a visit to fill us in on all he knew about old Abe.
He made our neighborhood special. Ted was with me both times when my children boarded the bus for the first time to leave me for kindergarten. He was almost always with me when the kids got off the bus too. They would say "hi Mom, hi Ted." He was always there. He was a part of our family. I will miss him so, so much, words cannot say. Thank you Ted for bringing so much to our lives.
