Obituary for Thomas F. Cobb

OXFORD,CT: Thomas F. Cobb, age 87, a fifty year resident of Oxford, he entered into peaceful rest on November 20, 2022 in New Haven; he was the beloved husband of the late Carol (Romano) Cobb. Mr. Cobb was born in Newton, MA on January 12, 1935, son of the late Waylon and Frances (Bell) Cobb. He served in the United States Navy during peacetime. Thomas was retired from Vitramon in Monroe where he was employed as a Research Engineer. He was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Oxford; he loved growing up in Massachusetts during his youth, and later on spending time there. Thomas had a genuine love for his dogs, and he also enjoyed playing golf.

Thomas leaves his loving family including, his daughter, Carol Fritz and her longtime companion Wayne B. Nelson of Woodbridge, and his grandson, Lance Hallowell of Derby. He was predeceased by a brother, John Cobb, and a sister, Phyllis Baldwin.

A memorial mass of Christian Burial in celebration of the life of Thomas and his late wife, Carol will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Rd., Oxford on Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Southford Cemetery, with full Military Honors for Thomas. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour is entrusted with the arrangements.
