Victoria Lillian (Magda) Niestemski passed away on July 27, 2012 at Griffin Hospital at the age of 95. Vickie was a lifelong resident of Oxford. She loved her town and being an active member of the community. A working mom, she made fountain pens, first, at Waterman, and later Bic for 25 years. In retirement, she enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, going to casinos, wintering in Florida, following the NY Yankees, and, most of all, spending time with family and friends. She is survived by the love of her life and husband of over 71 years, Zigmund Alphonse; her older sister Bertha, her children Joyce and Gerald (Anne); her grandchildren Emily (Ryan) and Matthew (Meghan), and several nieces and nephews, who will all miss her unfailing love and eternal positive energy. She was predeceased by her brothers, Walter, Joseph, and John Magda.


A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Oxford.
