Obituary for Virginia Fraser (Crute)
NAUGATUCK: Virginia “Ginny” (Crute) Fraser, age 87 of Naugatuck, formerly of Seymour, beloved wife of the late Robert M. Fraser, entered peaceful rest on Friday, February 18, 2022 in her home surrounded by family. Born in Nelson, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles P. Sr. and Virginia R. (Puryear) Crute.
A former photo cutter for National Schools and a Nurse Assistant, Ginny enjoyed cooking, sewing, going to the casinos with Robert, the UCONN Huskies, and was especially known for having a green thumb with gardening.
But above all else, Ginny loved being with family, especially during the Easter and Christmas Holidays, where she would often make her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren stockings.
Survivors include her loving children, Robin C. Fraser and his wife Bonnie of WA, Thomas J. Fraser and his wife Kathleen of ME, Terri Boroski and her husband Richard of Naugatuck, and Lisa Krajza and her husband Micky of
Plymouth; brother, George “Abe” Crute and his wife BarbaraSue of VA; 7 adored grandchildren, Charles, Brian, Jennifer, Amy, Karen, Mark and Greg; 9 cherished great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Melody, Zoë, Eli, Blake, Ira, Ben, Quinn and Jude, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her children, Matthew and Christopher Fraser and Connie Colwell; and brothers, James “Taughty”, John “Bo”, Charles “CP” Jr., and Joseph “Joe” Crute.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 11:30 am in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 10am until the time of services. Interment will follow in Mt. Meadows Cemetery, Seymour.
