Wanda (Nugen) Mento, age 93 of Seymour, beloved wife of the late Michael J. Mento, Sr., entered peaceful rest on Monday, August 6, 2018 in Bishop Wicke Health Care with her family by her side. Born in Fayetteville, WV, on April 8, 1925, she was a daughter of the late James and Willa Mae (Staton) Nugen. Wanda was a retired assembler for Auto-Swage (Beacon Falls). She enjoyed gardening, camping and the beach. Always up for a trip, Wanda loved to travel and vacation. She will be remembered for liking gospel and country music, but most of all for her love of family.Survivors include her loving children, Michael J. Mento, Jr. and his wife Jeanette of Beacon Falls, Theresa Sanchez of Seymour, Linda Nuce and her husband Larry of NV, Lisa Rubio and her husband Henry of Seymour; four cherished grandchildren, Maria and Tania Rubio, and Kari and Michael Mento, III; four adored great grandchildren, Sarah, Shayna and Brandon Shorrock, and Madison Mento, as well as her great-great granddaughter, Ava Marie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by her brothers, James and William Nugen.Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 10, 2018 starting at 9 am in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour, CT 06483 and at 10 am in Seymour Evangelical Baptist Church, Seymour. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery, Seymour. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4pm to 7pm in the funeral home.
