Obituary for Bill Keckler
SEYMOUR, CT: William H. “Bill” Keckler, age 59 of Seymour, beloved husband of Beth (Johns) Keckler, entered peaceful rest on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 in CT Hospice, Branford, with loved ones by his side. Born in Derby on May 2, 1964, he was the son of the late William L. and Patricia (Wilder) Keckler.
Bill was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served as a medic stationed with the 3rd Battalion 8th Marines. An avid Boston Red Sox fan, he would never be seen without one of his Red Sox hats. Bill was a devoted family man who helped take care of his mother-in-law, Florence Johns, for many years. But especially, he was a loving and devoted father to his son, Hayden. Bill will be fondly remembered for these, as well as his love for his cats, especially “Blackie”.
In addition to his wife Beth, of 22 years, survivors include his loving son, Hayden Keckler; mother-in-law, Florence Johns; daughter, Erica; siblings, Larry (Amy), Eddie, and Cynthia (Dave), as well as his niece and nephews, Shayna, Matthew, Ryan and Jeremy; in-laws, Laura (Tony), Joyce and Eddie.
Memorial Services with military honors celebrating Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 11am in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. Relatives and friends can greet the family from 9am until the time of services in the funeral home.
