Obituary for William J. Parmelee Jr.

Oxford, CT – William J. Parmelee, Jr. entered into eternal rest on October 27, 2015 surrounded by his family. William was the devoted husband of Margaret “Peggy” Brennan Parmelee. Born in Derby, on November 17, 1928 son of the late Rose (Allard) and William J. Parmelee, Sr.
William was a teacher and principal for the Oxford Central School and Woodbury Middle School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving after World War II stationed in Japan. He belonged to the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and travelling. William’s favorite times were spent with his two grandsons especially during the summer months.
In addition to his loving wife of 62 years, he is survived by one son, William J. Parmelee, III and his wife, Kathy of Renton, Washington and two grandsons, William J. Parmelee, IV and Taylor Parmelee both living in Kansas. He was predeceased by a brother Robert Parmelee.
