BETHANY, CT: Barbara C. Kriz, age 87, of Bethany entered peaceful rest January 10, 2015 at the Willows Health Care, Woodbridge; she was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Kriz. Mrs. Kriz was born September 26, 1927 in Booth Bay Harbor, ME, daughter of the late John Irving Chambers and Bertha (Newton) Chambers. She was retired as Bookkeeper from the family business, Joseph Kriz & Sons. Mrs. Kriz was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Bethany. She was an avid bird watcher and gardener and enjoyed homemaking, vacations in Maine and crafts including knitting. She leaves her loving family including her son, Joseph R. Kriz (Nancy) of Woodbridge, and grandchildren, J. Michael Kriz (Alessandra Pinna) of North Bethesda, MD and David A. Kriz of Willimantic and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother and sister, John “Sherb” Chambers and Dorothy Behrle.



Family and friends may call Saturday, Jan. 17 from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour with a Funeral Service to follow at Christ Episcopal Church, 526 Amity Road, Bethany at 10:30 a.m.
