Obituary for Mary R. Kessler (Reichelt)

Mary (Reichelt) Kessler, age 96 of Wallingford, (formerly of Woodbridge,) beloved wife of the late Albert R. Kessler, entered peaceful rest on December 7, 2015 at Masonicare in Wallingford. Born in Ansonia on January 27, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Mary (McCarthy) Reichelt. A retired teacher of 37 years, Mary was known for teaching at Beecher Road School (Woodbridge) and was a member of the Woodbridge Garden Club. Survivors include her loving nieces, Irene Scheld of Ansonia, Cheryl Grant of Trumbull, and Sandra Burkbuckler of Prospect; nephews, Fred Dodd of TX, Robert Reichelt of Ansonia, William Reichelt of Madison, and Kimball Grant of NY; many grandnieces and grandnephews, especially her caregivers, Kevin Reichelt and his wife Ellen of Seymour, as well as her special canine companion, Nevada. She was predeceased by her brothers, Carl and Fred Reichelt and her sister, Anna Scheld. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, and at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd. Seymour. Interment will follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Relatives and friends may call Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
