SEYMOUR, CT: Alice P. Preston age 83 formerly of Davis Road, entered into rest February 14, 2002 at the Danbury Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late John Preston.
Mrs. Preston was born November 17, 1918 in Hawaii, daughter of the late Julio and Olympia Moniz Perez. Alice resided in Seymour most of her life, and also resided in Lighthouse , FL, and most recently with her grandson Darrell Preston in Brookfield. She was a retired officer of the Preston Machine Co. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Alice was a loving generous lady, and will be sadly missed.
She leaves her loving family including: 1 daughter, Jean Matricaria Plantation, FL, 1 son David Rodney Preston of Deerfield Beach, FL, 2 sisters, Lorraine Ornellas and Florence Foncela both of Oahu, HI, 1 brother Gregory Hall of Oahu, 5 grandchildren, Darrell Preston of Brookfield, Paige Preston of Seymour, Richard and Jed Matricaria both of Plantation, FL, and Melissa Preston of Boca Raton, FL. Her sisters Mary Naheu and Anne Bierra predeceased her.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:15 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour, to Trinity Episcopal Church for 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
