Obituary for Alvin C. "Al" Pennington

Alvin C. "Al"  Pennington
Mr. Alvin C. “Al” Pennington, age 84, beloved husband of Gladys (Santiago) Pennington of Seymour, entered into peaceful rest on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at his home.

He was born on March 31, 1929 in Avondale, Arizona. Mr. Pennington was an operations manager for the Local 12 Construction Union. He enjoyed wood working and was amazing with a scroll saw. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed playing golf. Mr. Pennington was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War.

In addition to Al’s devoted wife, he leaves a daughter Donna Brown and a son Michael Pennington and his wife Susan all of California, four step children, Olivia “Lee” Ramos of HeavenLee Sent in Seymour, Linda Fisher of Stamford, Manuel Louis Ramos of Mt. Vernon, NY and Selena Owens of VA and many grandchildren including Ramon K. Ramos, David Fisher, Ebony Ramos, Tiffany, David, Ryan and Bethany Owens, Wendy Christopher, Bryan and Shawn and several great grandchildren, Madison Denise Ramos, Aziah Rae Ramos, Bryce McCurdy, Taylor, Peter, Charlotte, Hayden, McKenzie and Kane. Al also leaves his loyal dog, Prince.

Family and Friends may call on Monday, July 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 1 p.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment with Military Honors in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
