Obituary for Ann Stec

DERBY, C5T: Ann Margaret Stec, age 85 of Guardiano Terrace entered into peaceful rest February 16, 2004, at the Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, she was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Stec. Mrs. Stec was born in Bridgeport on July 26, 1918, daughter of the late Bartholomew Albert, and Mary (Bielko) Tomis, and her late step-mother Veronica (Stack) Tomis. Ann was a Derby resident for most of her life, and was a communicant of St. Augustine Church, Seymour. Mrs. Stec was a retired assembler for twenty years with the Autoswage Products Co. of Shelton.
Ann leaves her loving family including three sons David Stec and his wife Carol of Derby, Gene Stec and his wife Laura of Seymour, and Alan Stec and his wife Joanne of Derby, two daughters Margo Hunter and her husband David of Cheshire, and Paula Stec of Derby, two brothers, William Tomis of Stratford, and Frank Tomis of Oxford, one sister, Mary Sirotnik of Milford, and five grandchildren, Kristin and David Stec of Derby, Emily Hunter of Cheshire, and Jacob and Benjamin Stec both of Seymour. Her brothers, Monsignor John Tomis, Albert Tomis , and Stephen Tomis predeceased her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 35 Washington Avenue, Seymour, Interment will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. There are no calling hours. Memorial gifts may be sent to the Storm Engine Ambulance Corps, 151 Olivia St., Derby, CT 06418. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ralph E.
