Obituary for Barbara Proch Walinski

SHREWSBURY, MA, and SEYMOUR, CT: Barbara B. (Proch) Walinski, 69, of Shrewsbury Massachusetts, formerly of Seymour, Connecticut, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2004 after a long courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. Barbara was born on October 16, 1934 in Derby, Connecticut.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 21 years, Francis J. Walinski; three sons, Gene M. Proch of Poulsbo, Washington and his wife Chandra and children, Melissa, Michael, and Kristen; Timothy E. Proch of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts and his wife Victoria and children, Nathan, Derek, and Adam; and Craig A. Proch of Southington, Connecticut and his wife Donna and child Harrison. She leaves her husband’s children, Gregory F. Walinski of Harwich, Massachusetts and his partner Amy Robillard; David P. Walinski, of Kingston, Massachusetts and his wife Dr. Cynthia Espanola and children Jack and Matthew; and Kelly Linnehan of Hyannis, Massachusetts and her husband Garrett. She also leaves her brothers Arthur Bradshaw, Myron Bradshaw, her sisters Joyce Urick, Lorraine McLean, and Karen Hammond, their spouses, and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Barbara was predeceased in 1975 by her first husband Michael G. Proch of Seymour, Connecticut. She was also predeceased by her parents Myron Bradshaw and Erma (Bradshaw) Thompson of Seymour, Connecticut, and one sister, Frances Isles, of Newtown, Connecticut.
Barbara was known by many in her role as a Department Manager at the former Klarides Supermarket in Seymour for over 20 years. She also loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, cook and bake, and employ her green thumb with her many beautiful plants and flowers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Thursday, at 10:00a.m., in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia, Connecticut. Calling hours are Wednesday, from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Barbara's memory to the National Parkinson's Foundation, 1501 Northwest 9th Ave., Miami, FL, 33136 attn.
