Obituary for Beulah L. Hillson (Bice)

Beulah L.  Hillson (Bice)
WOODBURY, CT: Beulah Hillson age 91, a longtime Woodbury resident entered into peaceful rest February 29, 2012 at the Lutheran Home, Southbury; she was the beloved wife of the late George Hillson. Mrs. Hillson was born January 15, 1921 in Oxford, daughter of the late Frederick R. and Katherine (Derry) Bice. She was a retired secretary from the Oxford Public Schools. Beulah was a devoted Communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church; she very active there, and enjoyed hand-crafting items for the Christmas Fair. She and her late husband loved to travel; she enjoyed visiting friends and family. Beulah was an avid reader and she liked knitting.

Beulah leaves her loving children, Warren C. Rice and Janet Congdon both of Bethlehem, her brother Reid Bice of Ft. Worth, TX, her sister, Phyllis Budris of Oxford, 4 grandchildren, Warren Rice, Jr., Amy Rebner, Katherine Jeanne Rebner, and Allison Taylor and her husband Alex, three great grandchildren, Elliot Taylor, Emily and Stephanie Yagelowich, and several nieces and nephews. Her brother, Warren Bice, and sister Myrill Blood , and her granddaughter Susan Rice predeceased her.

A Memorial Service of Requiem Eucharist in celebration of Beulah's life will be held Sunday March 11, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 294 Main St. South, Woodbury, 06798. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial gifts may be sent to St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ralph E.
