Like A Father

As a young boy growing up in Seymour, Carl and my late mother, Lorraine were very close for many years. From that young age and throughout my life, Carl was a father to me. His kindness and teaching truly helped me become the successful professional and family man I am today. Carl taught me to work on my cars and helped me find my first clunker after getting my driver's license. He took me target shooting and put me to work as a helper at his shop. He taught the value of an honest day's work. He regularly took my mom and I for pizza at Mama Mia's on Friday night and to the movies and the Route 34 Diner on Saturdays. He was a man of honor whom I looked up to and cared about. Although I had not seen or spoken to Carl that often as time passed, I always felt that he was looking out for me. I am very glad to have known him and very sad that he has passed away. Forever in my heart. --Rob
