Welcome to Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home

The loss of a great guy

My sincere condolences to Carl's family and close friends.  I got to know Carl when I talked to the Yale ITS media group a couple years ago about the Service Management program we were starting.  At that meeting he was very outspoken and really challenged me to answer lots of tough questions.  I could see that his colleagues all looked to him to ask those tough questions, and that he was their strong voice.

Through that conversation, I grew a lot of respect for him, and we talked several times about that and other things, such as the morale in ITS, his love for his work, and even the United Way.  At his prior place of employment,he was actively involved in the United Way for some time.

I think it was just a day or two before break, we were both cutting through room 125 on the first floor on our way out and we stopped to talk for a few minutes.  I learned he lives in the same area I do and that we even have some common places, restaurants, etc we enjoy.    He was a very interesting and fun guy, once you got past that tough exterior.

My condolences on the loss of a great guy.
