SEYMOUR, CT: Carolyn Gladys Maile, age 89 of Seymour entered into peaceful rest February 4, 2009 at the Griffin Hospital, Derby; she was the beloved wife of the late Raymond E. Maile. Mrs. Maile was born March 22, 1919 in New Haven, daughter of the late Henry K. and Caroline (Durant) Flagge. She was a retired Registered Nurse having worked at Dr. Narowski’s office formerly in Derby; she was the School Nurse at Bungay School, and also worked as a Visiting Nurse; she received her training, and graduated in 1941 from the Hospital of St. Raphael Nursing School, New Haven. Carolyn was a former member and Past President of the Seymour Grange formerly in Seymour, and was a member of both the Oxford and Beacon Falls Granges. She also was a member of the Seymour and Derby Senior Centers. In her spare time, Mrs. Maile enjoyed knitting, and was an avid gardener. Carolyn leaves her loving family including her niece, Ellen Cronin and her husband John of Seymour, and her nephew, Karl Salvati and his wife Teri of North Haven, and several other nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:15 am from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour, to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 6 pm.
