Obituary for Christine Hyder

OXFORD, CT: Christine Lavina Hyder, age 74 of Oxford Road entered into peaceful rest March 8, 2004 at the Gardner Heights Health Center, Shelton; she was the beloved wife of the late Ferris Hyder. Mrs. Hyder was born February 12, 1930 in Derby, daughter of the late Edward J. and Lavina C. (Emery) Eldridge. Christine resided in Oxford since 1960, and was a retired baker.
She leaves her loving family including a son David John Burdick, Jr. of Oxford, a brother, Lenny Eldridge of Thomaston, a sister, Jean M. Sciegay of Inwood, WV, two children, Mary Danielecki, Kathy Tardy, Frank Hyder, David Hyder, and Richard Hyder, also grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her sister Ruth Mae Kulas predeceased her.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday in Pine Grove Cemetery, Church Street, Ansonia at 1:00 p.m. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Ralph E.
