SEYMOUR, CT: Donald R. Miles. Jr., 69 who was a resident at Glendale Health Center, Naugatuck, formerly of Seymour, and Spring Hill, Florida; he entered into peaceful rest March 8, 2003 at the Waterbury Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen Stosuy Miles.
Mr. Miles was born September 10, 1933 in Derby, son of the late Donald R., Sr., and Emma (Phipps) Miles. Donald was a retired employee of 26 years from Uniroyal, Naugatuck, and also from the Kerite Company, Seymour. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War, and was a member and Past Commander of the David S. Miles Post 174 American Legion, Oxford. Mr. Miles was a life member of the Seymour Alumni Club, and was an avid baseball fan.
Donald leaves his loving family including a son Michael Miles and companion Denise O’Neil of Oxford, two daughters, Nancy Wilson and her husband Brent , of Seymour, and Patricia Terrell and her husband David of Oxford. One brother, David S. Miles of Crystal River, FL, and one sister, Suzanne Lane of Oakland, CA. Four grandchildren, Nicholas and Morgan Wilson of Seymour, and Liz and Kate Terrell of Oxford. He also leaves several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment with Military Honors will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
