Obituary for Edward P. Stanton

OXFORD, CT: Edward P. Stanton age 75 of Captain Wooster Road, entered into peaceful rest April 14, 2003 at his home. He was the beloved son of Alanson and Elsie (Roberts) Stanton, born January 29, 1928 in Waterbury. Edward was retired from the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant. He was a communicant and former Vestryman of Christ Episcopal Church, Quaker Farms, a member of the Connecticut Farm Bureau, and the Audubon Society; a past member of Quaker Farms Cemetery Association, a former volunteer firefighter with the Quaker Farms Fire Co., and was an Army Reservist for twenty years.
He leaves his loving family including, a brother Robert Stanton of Oxford, and several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Edward’s brothers Lloyd and David Stanton predeceased him.
A memorial service in celebration of Edward’s life will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Christ Episcopal Church, Quaker Farms Road, Oxford. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Hillside Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour is in charge of the arrangements.
