Obituary for Ernest Madison "Ernie" Stevens

Ernest Madison "Ernie"  Stevens
OXFORD, CT: Ernest Madison Stevens, 68 of Oxford entered into peaceful rest July 7, 2011 in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. He was born in Corpus Christi, TX on February 20, 1943, son of the late Ernest N. and Minnie (Doss) Stevens. Ernest was a Maintenance Technician at Emhart Teknologies, Shelton. He was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Stevens was a Founding Member of the Starbucks Club in Seymour, and was a Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast.

Ernest leaves his loving family including a son, Jarrett J. Stevens of Oxford, and his fiancé Carol Obeid of Waterbury, two daughters, Shelley J. Stevens of Oxford, and Terri Lynn Stevens of Austin, TX, two grandchildren, Robert A. and Amber van Arsdol, a great granddaughter, Taylor Shea Lesley, three nieces, Clare, Beth and Tracy. His sister Flo Ren Welch predeceased him.

A Memorial Service in celebration of Ernest's life will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be private. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Memorial Gifts may be sent to the North Shore Animal League, 25 Davis Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050.
