Obituary for Esther K. Gemmell

Oxford, CT: Esther (Kitik) Gemmell, age 90 of Moose Hill Road entered into peaceful rest May 21, 2005 at her home. She was born September 27, 1914 in Seymour, daughter of the late Metro and Mary (Natowich) Kitik. She resided in Oxford for most of her life, and was retired from the Waterman-Bic Corporation having worked in Milford, and the former Seymour plants. Esther was a communicant of the First United Methodist Church, Ansonia where she also sang in the choir; Esther also sang in the Valley Ecumenical Choir. She enjoyed gardening, wildlife nature and animals.
She leaves her two brothers, Walter and Michael Kitik both of Oxford, four sisters, Mildred Rahael of Seymour, Madeline Wahley, Anne Karaban, and Pauline Booker all of Orlando, FL, also several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Her brother John Kitik predeceased her.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, Church Street, Ansonia. There are no calling hours. Memorial gifts may be sent to the First United Methodist Church, 47 Franklin St., Ansonia, CT 06401, or the Humane Society, 2100 L Street NW, Washington, DC 20037. The Ralph E.
