SEYMOUR, CT: Evelyn B. Farchaus, age 79 of Seymour entered into peaceful rest September 14, 2004 at her home; she was the beloved wife of the late Joseph W. "Bill" Farchaus. Mrs. Farchaus was born in Seymour on November 21, 1924 and was a lifelong Seymour resident. Evelyn was a faithful communicant of Trinity Episcopal Church where she also served on the Altar Guild. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Farchaus her workouts and friends at the former Ultra Fitness Club of Derby, and was a long time member of the Quassy Lake Club, Middlebury.
Evelyn leaves her beloved family including her son, Dr. Joseph W. Farchaus, III ,Ph.D. and his wife Susanne Riemer of Bloomsbury, NJ, her daughter, Dr. Karen Farchaus Stein, Ph.D. and her husband Jeffrey of Ann Arbor, MI, her sister, Julia Doneiko of Seymour, four grandchildren, Sara Farchaus Stein and Aaron Farchaus Stein both of Ann Arbor, MI, and Kirstin and Carla Farchaus both of Bloomsbury, NJ, she leaves her special friend Vera Domareck of Seymour, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service of Requiem Eucharist in celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 91 Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour has care of the arrangements.
